Trip cancellation
Trip cancellation reimburses nonrefundable payments if you must cancel a trip because of covered illness, job loss, or other unforeseen reasons, including acts of terror. Many travel insurance providers allow customers to cancel their trip if an act of terrorism occurred at the destination within 30 days of their scheduled arrival date.

Emergency medical transportation
Emergency medical transportation arranges and covers the cost to transport you to a qualified medical facility or gets you back home to receive care if you suffer a serious covered injury or illness during your trip.

Trip interruption
Trip interruption reimburses remaining nonrefundable payments if you begin a trip but can’t finish it because of covered illness, death, or other covered circumstances.

Coverage for road trips
If you’re not ready for a major trip, travel insurance can still help protect you even if you’re just hitting the road.

That depends on your budget, your destination, and your specific situation. If your biggest worry is protecting your vacation investment in case of a last-minute cancellation or trip interruption, then you may want a plan with trip cancellation / interruption benefits. If you’re more concerned about mishaps that occur while traveling, such as baggage loss or delay, or trip delays, look for a plan with post-departure benefits. To help protect yourself in case of a medical emergency while traveling, you should consider a plan that includes emergency medical and emergency medical transportation benefits.

The fastest and easiest way is to file a claim with Allianz through the Allianz website. To get started, you'll need your email address or policy number, as well as your departure date or policy purchase date.

Documentation to support your claim is required before a claim examiner can review your claim. Find a list of supporting documents you may need here. Once you have filed your claim, you will receive a confirmation email.
