This offer is valid for new accounts only. You must be at least 18 years of age or otherwise eligible for lending services to apply. New lending is limited to residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, or Virginia. You are limited to being contractually liable on three (3) total SECU Visa Classic, Visa Cash Rewards, or Visa Points Rewards Credit Card accounts. For more information, please see the SECU Credit Cardholder Agreement.
- Points are calculated based on Net Purchases, which are the amount of eligible purchase transactions minus returns, refunds, other credits, or disputed, unauthorized, illegal or fraudulent charges. You earn Points on purchases, but you do not earn Points on transactions involving the purchase or funding of instruments such as gift cards, prepaid cards, reloadable cards, money orders, cashier's checks, foreign currency, cryptocurrency, or securities; transactions involving money transfer, money transmission, or wire transfers; or Purchases made for gambling or lottery purposes. You also do not earn Points on Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, interest, fees, and other charges. Points Rewards expire in five (5) years. Certain purchase transactions are not eligible for Points. Refer to the Points Rewards Terms and Conditions Supplement for further details.
- For new cardholders only. Balance transfers made under an introductory or promotional APR will be subject to a balance transfer fee of 3% of the amount of each transfer or $5, whichever is greater.
- APR = Annual Percentage Rate. APR is your cost over the loan term expressed as a rate. The variable APR for purchases and balance transfers equals the U.S. Prime Rate plus a margin of between 7.50% and 10.50%, based on your creditworthiness at account opening. The variable APR is subject to change, with the U.S. Prime Rate, as published in The Wall Street Journal on the first day of your billing period that begins in January, April, July, and October. Cash Advances have a fixed APR of 18.00%. The APR will not exceed the maximum permitted by applicable law.
- Redeem Points for cash back to your SECU Checking or Share Account, or redeem for SECU credit card statement credits. All redemptions must be 2500 Points (equal to a $25 credit) or greater. Statement credits will reduce the balance on your account but will not count as payments.
- When you enable auto-redemption, your entire rewards balance will be redeemed as cash back to the selected account or as a credit card statement credit each month, as long as your rewards balance exceeds the minimum $25 required for cash back redemptions.
- Interest begins to accrue on purchases and balance transfers from the day the transaction is added to the daily balance and continues to accrue until the total amount owed is paid. You can avoid paying interest on purchases and balance transfers if you pay the entire balance for the prior billing cycle by the payment due date in the current billing cycle. You cannot avoid paying interest on cash advances.
- Visa Zero Liability Policy for unauthorized purchase transactions means you are not responsible for fraudulent transactions on your card if you promptly notify us of any unauthorized use. For additional details visit Visa’s Zero Liability Policy.
