Payroll Deduction

Payroll Deduction is designed for our members employed by the State of North Carolina to conveniently apply a portion of their paycheck to their chosen SECU account(s). To get started, eligible members can submit a request through Member Access.

Eligible accounts

Accounts eligible for Payroll Deduction include:
  • Share (including Summer Cash and Holiday Cash Club Accounts)

  • Money Market Share

  • IRA, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Coverdell Education Savings Account (Coverdell ESA)

  • Personal loans

  • Checking

  • CashPoints® Global

  • Mortgage loans

SECU Visa® Credit Cards, Share Term Certificates, and Salary Advance Loans are not eligible for Payroll Deduction payments.

Frequently asked questions about Payroll Deduction

Payroll Deduction is only available to members who are employed by the State of North Carolina, including state agencies and school systems. Contact your payroll office or your local branch to determine if you are eligible for this service. Members who are not eligible for Payroll Deduction may wish to establish a recurring Funds Transfer.

Members who wish to deposit their entire paycheck to an SECU account should consider Direct Deposit. Contact your payroll office to enroll.
