Thomas Parrish has been a member of SECU for 42 years and has served on the SECU and SECU Foundation Boards of Directors and the Board Information Technology Committee. He was appointed to the SECU Foundation Board from 2021-23 and the SECU Board of Directors from 2022-23 prior to his re-election in 2025. Parrish works for the North Carolina Department of Information Technology as the deputy chief information officer for the Department of Public Safety and the Department of Adult Correction.
He also serves on the boards for Louisburg College, Rocky Mount Charter Schools, and Conetoe Family Life Center.
Parrish holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Earth Science from North Carolina Central University and is a Certified Government Chief Information Officer.
