SECU Mortgage Assistance Program – Additional Resource
There is an additional resource that may be able to provide assistance due to job loss or a reduction of income.
North Carolina Foreclosure Prevention Fund
– North Carolina provides a Mortgage Payment Program which is federally funded and administered
through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. To be eligible for this program, you must have lost your job or have had a reduction in income due to
changing economic conditions, have a mortgage secured by real property, demonstrate the ability to resume the mortgage after assistance ends, and have
had a satisfactory mortgage and credit payment history prior to losing your job. The loan assistance can only be used to make payments on your primary
residence located in North Carolina. You may receive a 0% interest rate loan of up to $36,000 to bring the mortgage current and pay your mortgage for up
to 36 months. Further information can be found through the NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund
