Self-nominations can be made only by those who sought, but did not receive, nomination by the Nomination Committee. For a self-nomination to be valid and be included on the ballot, the member must timely submit to SECU a completed and, where applicable, properly signed (i) Candidate Package, and (ii) Official Nominating Petition for State Employees' Credit Union Board of Directors with at least 500 valid signatures from members aged 16 years and older with requested evidence confirming membership in SECU. Such forms must be received by the Secretary of the Credit Union, or his or her designee, by the required date in the current year Election Procedures Schedule. Self-nominations received after the required date are invalid and will not be accepted; such candidates will not appear on the ballot.
